Marlowe joined the firm as an associate in November 2019 and has taken over the District Criminal Court practice. In that role, he handles almost all of the firm's misdemeanor criminal cases, including DWI, traffic, drug possession, probation violations, assaults, and larceny. Additionally, he handles domestic and personal injury cases at the firm.

In his free time, Marlowe enjoys spending time with his wife, Christina, and their daughter, Emerson. He is an avid NASCAR fan (Kyle Larson) and golfer.


Evan S. Hiatt

Evan is originally from Rowan County and graduated from East Rowan High School. Many members of Evan’s family have been employed as teachers and principals in the Rowan County School System. Evan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary History Education from Appalachian State University in 2015. After teaching for a year at Jesse Carson High School, Evan went back to law school and earned his J.D. degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2019. While in law school, Evan was class president and a member of the James and Carolyn Davis Society.


Most recently, Evan practiced for three years in Kinston, North Carolina, with Perry, Perry and Perry Attorneys, before moving back home to Rowan County. Prior to working in Kinston, Evan interned for the Honorable Judge Frank D. Whitney (Western District of North Carolina, U.S. District Court), with the Honorable Chief Justice Paul M. Newby (North Carolina Supreme Court), and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Appellate Division.


When not working, Evan enjoys spending time with his wife, Baker, and their two children, Palmer and Tucker. He and Baker enjoy getting outside and also traveling when their small children allow them to. Evan is a board member with the Rowan Museum, and Evan and Baker are on the Rowan County Young Life Committee.
